MNAZI BAY GAS IN SOUTHERN COASTAL REGION OF TANZANIA MAINLAND

The Mnazi Bay/Msimbati Gas Fields are located in the Mtwara region of south-eastern Tanzania, bordering on Mozambique. The resource was discovered by AGIP, which drilled the discovery well on a seismic defined structure in 1982. The well was evaluated as having oil and gas in several potential reservoir zone.

 Now plant is in functions, but some questions are discovered daily; how the productions benefit the people around the plants, do they have abundant services from the products or services produced?  do they have any share from the project contracts as the natives of the area, how's about job vacancies? is it true that people from southern coastal regions are not educated and being employed?
